How do I add the Partial Collision Damage Waiver?
When booking online, select “Medium deductible- more comfort” in the “Our protections” section. The reduced excess amount and the pack price are displayed before you confirm your booking.
You can also add this protection at the rental agency when collecting your vehicle, subject to the applicable conditions. Select “More details” to view the included protections.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) limits your financial liability for covered damage, although an excess may still apply.
Partial Collision Damage Waiver (PCDW) reduces that excess, subject to the terms of your rental agreement.
These protections are available for an additional daily charge, which depends on your chosen vehicle category:
PCDW (Partial Collision Damage Waiver) reduces your excess: an amount may still remain payable in the event of covered damage.
SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver) removes your excess: you pay no excess for covered damage.
The price of each protection and the excess amount are displayed during booking. The terms and exclusions of your rental agreement apply.
PCDW reduces your excess for covered damage. Certain exclusions remain your responsibility, including:
Glass and headlight damage.
Punctures and damage to tyres and wheel rims.
Damage to the upper parts of the vehicle, including collisions with branches or overhead structures.
Underbody damage, including damage to the sills and mechanical components.
Lost or damaged keys, along with associated costs.
Misfuelling.
Damage resulting from driving off paved roads or using the vehicle in ways not intended by the manufacturer.
Water damage resulting from negligence.
Failure to comply with the rental conditions may also invalidate your protections.

The security deposit provides security for any amounts you may owe the rental company in connection with your rental. It is therefore not necessarily the same amount as the excess.
