The various payment methods accepted by Europcar Guadeloupe
Credit Card
Online and at the branch. American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard, Mastercard, and Visa are accepted in most cases.
For any other cards, please check with an agent to confirm acceptance at the time of reservation or when picking up the vehicle.
The name of the primary driver must match the name on the card at the time the deposit is made.
Payment in 2 or 3 installments
Online only. Spread out your rental payments at no extra cost, if your cart meets the requirements.
Reservations must be made at least 3 months before picking up the vehicle and paid for with a European credit card in the driver's name.
ANCV Vacation Checks
In-store: Present your Chèques-Vacances at the counter; pay the remaining balance with a credit card.
Online: Select “ANCV Connect” on the payment page, then follow the instructions on the ANCV website.
You cannot combine a credit card and e-Chèque-Vacances online: Payment must be split directly on the ANCV platform.
Mobile Wallets
Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Wallet…, subject to compatibility with your bank.
These are for payment of the reservation only—they do not replace the physical card required for the security deposit.
A physical credit card is still required when picking up the vehicle to authorize the security deposit.
What to Consider Before Paying
Some useful information about the security deposit and choosing between online payment and in-branch payment.
💳 How does the security deposit work?
When you pick up your vehicle, a security deposit may be required to cover any potential rental-related charges, in accordance with the terms of your contract. 🚗
The amount of the security deposit depends, among other things, on the category of the rented vehicle and the terms associated with your reservation. To make your departure go smoothly, be sure to bring:
💳 a valid credit card in the name of the primary driver;
🪪 a driver’s license
💶 Should I pay online or at a branch?
To take advantage of the best rates, we recommend booking and paying for your rental online. When you book on our Europcar Guadeloupe website, you’ll receive an online discount of up to 20% off the in-office rate. 🌴🚗 Paying online also allows you to:

✅ Yes! Europcar Guadeloupe lets you pay for your rental in 2 or 3 installments at no extra charge using eligible credit cards. It’s the perfect way to better manage your vacation budget.
🔐 Quand la caution est-elle débitée ?
The security deposit is generally not charged. A preauthorization is processed at the start of your rental. The amount is simply temporarily held on your card and then released by your bank at the end of the rental, provided that no additional charges are incurred.
ℹ️ Why is a preauthorization requested?
The preauthorization is used to cover any potential rental-related charges (fuel, damage, tolls, or other fees specified in the contract). This is not a payment, but rather an amount temporarily held on your credit card.
🔒 Is online payment secure?
Yes. All your transactions are protected by a secure payment system that uses encryption technologies compliant with industry standards.
👤 Can I use someone else's credit card?
Yes, someone else can pay for the reservation. However, for the security deposit, the credit card presented at check-in must be in the name of the primary driver.
We also recommend that you use your own credit card so that the coverage and insurance provided by your bank can apply to your situation.
