Is there a minimum/maximum age to rent a car at Europcar Guadeloupe?
You must be at least 21 years old and have had your driver's license for at least 1 year to rent a vehicle. However, for some categories (compact, sedan, minibus, monospace, prestige, automatic, utility), a minimum of 25 years old will be required as well as 3 years of license.
Please note that a "Young Driver" guarantee will be automatically invoiced when the contract is drawn up, if the driver is less than 23 years old when he/she takes the vehicle.
There is no age limit to rent a vehicle.
What documents do I need to present at the Europcar counter when picking up the vehicle?
The following documents will be required to complete your rental contract: Your driving license issued by your country of residence and valid for at least 1 year. It must be presented at each rental. Your identity document (passport or national identity card), issued by your country of residence. Your credit card (with embossed numbers). The expiration date must be after the end of your rental. your voucher if you have prepaid your reservation online.
NB: the documents in points 1 and 2 will be required for any additional driver to be added to the contract
My driver's license has been stolen. Can I submit a theft report instead?
A police report of theft (or loss) can be accepted, if dated within 2 months of the rental date.
I forgot my driver's license. Can I still take possession of the vehicle?
No. The presentation of the license is mandatory. Photocopies, even certified "conform" and scans are not accepted
Do I have to leave a deposit when I pick up the vehicle?
If you are the main driver, a pre-authorization on your bank card will be made when the contract is drawn up. Its amount will be equal to the amount of the deductible due in case of damage (amount varies according to the category and the insurance formula chosen). This amount will not be debited from your card but only blocked on your account until the end of the rental.
If you are unable to comply with this procedure, the guarantee by a person accompanying you may be accepted. This person will have to meet the general rental conditions in terms of age and license. This person will have to present, in addition to his or her credit card, an identity card and his or her driver's license to be registered on the rental contract as an "additional driver". The amount of this option must be paid when picking up the vehicle. The additional driver will also have to sign the rental contract with you, thus committing his responsibility as a co-lessee.
Please note that the deposit by VISA ELECTRON card, MAESTRO card, by check or cash deposit is not possible.
What are the payment methods accepted by Europcar Guadeloupe?
Europcar Guadeloupe secure website accepts most international credit cards: American Express, Mastercard, Visa. If you have chosen to pay at the agency, in addition to paying by credit card, you can choose to pay by cash or vacation vouchers. Payments by bank check are not accepted.
What is detailed in the rental contract?
The rental contract is the document that formalizes the commercial transaction between Europcar and the Hirer (renter), at the time of picking up the vehicle. It details the conditions and duration of the rental, the rate applied and the condition of the vehicle. By signing it, the Hirer (Renter) accepts all of its contents.
How are the extra days calculated?
Our rates are calculated per 24-hour period, starting at the time of pick-up. A 30 minute delay is allowed. Beyond that, an additional day is charged.
Can I subscribe to a complementary insurance or protection?
Europcar Guadeloupe offers you a complete range of complementary protections: Excess Reduction Insurance Excess Waiver Insurance Young Driver Insurance Transported Persons Insurance Modification/Cancellation Insurance You can take out these additional insurance policies at step 3 of your online reservation or at our counters when you draw up your rental contract. (NB: "Modification/Cancellation" insurance can only be taken out online, when validating the reservation)

Do I have to check the "Departure Control" sheet of the vehicle before leaving the agency?
Yes, you must check this document, which attests to the condition of the vehicle at the beginning of the rental. If a damage or defect is not mentioned on this form, ask for a joint check with a Europcar technician in order to rectify the information given.
When can I make a reservation and until when?
You can make your reservation up to 1 hour before the pick-up time You can make your reservation up to 12 months in advance
What is the minimum car rental duration?
The minimum rental period online is 1 day. Rentals of less than 24 hours are charged at the price of a full day. Please note that some offers may be subject to a longer minimum rental period. Please refer to the terms and conditions of each promotion for specific details. The maximum online rental period is 124 days. Beyond this period, you will have to validate a 2nd reservation or contact our Reservation Center for a personalized quotation. (reservation.europcar@gbh.fr).

The website europcar-guadeloupe.com allows you to validate your reservations directly online. By prepaying your file via our secure site, you benefit from the best rate in effect.
Please note that the reservation of certain categories (compact, sedan, automatic, minivan, minibus, convertible, 4x4, prestige, utility) is subject to confirmation to be definitively validated. In case of refusal of your request due to unavailability, your prepayment will be automatically cancelled.
The rates displayed online are inclusive of all taxes. The "Total to Pay" calculated at step 3 of the reservation process includes all selected extras and options as well as any applicable discounts or promotions.
What types of vehicles does Europcar Guadeloupe offer?
Europcar Guadeloupe offers you a wide range of vehicles (economy, compact, sedan, minivan, minibus, prestige, utility), with various engines (gasoline, diesel, automatic). However, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that some categories (especially commercial vehicles) are not available in all our agencies in Guadeloupe.
In addition, please note that some models are subject to confirmation, after validation of your online reservation. These vehicles are indicated on the site by the mention "Reservation subject to confirmation".
If the availability is confirmed, you will receive an email allowing you to access your voucher.
If our schedules do not allow us to honor your request, you will receive a message informing you. Your reservation will then be automatically cancelled.
